The PWP Event stems from the immense gratitude we both have for the great care our daughters have recieved at CHEO. It's all about payback! But not just our payback, it's about harnessing the energy of many other parents and people who are also grateful for the amazing organization and institution that CHEO is.

CHEO represents two things for me: Care of our youth and Excellence in delivery of that care. I have witnessed it first hand. We are blessed, and can be proud, to have such an institution in our midst. Yes 2000+ punches in one hour will be a test, but nothing compared to the tests that go on at CHEO every day of the year. So PAYBACK TIME!, to CHEO and to our community as a whole. Merci de votre appui et encouragement.

Boxing since the end of 2008, I'm now a level 6 vet WBK boxer. I'm helping raise money for CHEO because I believe that we can only be a compassionate society if we take care of our most vulnerable. MARGO'S PUNCH COUNT = 2,035
"I am often sorely moved by human suffering in the world, but somehow when it’s children that suffer, it strikes me even deeper and harder.
I have wanted to help out more in life in some way, and I was intriged with the idea of doing the Punching With Purpose but had not felt ready for various reasons. So when my coach asked who is interested in doing the PWP, in that instant I knew the time to jump in was now! Let’s do this and help some kids!
Oh, and one the personal side benefits that I see is when preparing for the punch-a-thon, I have loved the simplistic and purpose driven workouts. I come home just gleaming with sweat and happiness. Thanks Chris and crew for organizing this great event."

As a family of four (soon to be five) children, CHEO has come through for us on many occasions. Participating in WBK Boxing's PWP is our way of saying 'thank you for all that you've done for us' as well as doing our part in ensuring that other children get the same care, attention, and service that we've gotten.
